Get In Line

Here at Pioneer Millworks, we see a lot of interior & architectural concepts every day.  From rustic lodges, to modern lofts, there's a good bet we have a material that can fit the aesthetic.  Taking it one step further, how you use the selected material can add another dimension to the design.

A big trend recently has been the use of horizontal lines.  Planks of wood have long been installed just as they were on barns for hundreds of years - vertically.  Going horizontal accents the variations in the materials, makes the space seem wider, and brings a fresh look to any type of space.  In particular, many of our clients developing corporate spaces have picked up on this concept and put it to good use:

Besides offices, retailers and restauranteurs have been using the concept as well, in some cases adding height and thickness variations for added texture.

So whats next?  Well, thats entirely up to your imagination.  Being a leader in the reclaimed wood industry though, we enjoy developing concepts with our customers, helping you understand that reclaimed wood doesn't have to equate to "rustic" :

Contact us with your ideas, we'll help you "line up" some great reclaimed wood for your project.  Happy New Year!
